We'll leave Rutgers on Friday, Oct 10 for Keene Valley, NY in the heart of the High Peaks Region of the Adirondack Park, its about a 5 hour drive. We will be doing Algonquin Peak (view from top: http://www.flickr.com/photos/lensecap/1473007018/ ) which is 5100+ feet (~ 3000 ft gain over 3 miles) and two others.

There are a bunch of nice lean-tos near a few lakes at the midway point where we can camp. There is also a very cool gorge where the trail is actually a catwalk bolted to the cliff faces near a lake (check out http://www.flickr.com/photos/mountainvisions/380122881/ ).

Waivers must be signed this Wednesday (10/1) during the Shed night @ 9pm; Please bring your $$ with you. Plus $10 if you haven't paid your dues yet.
