DVOA Orienteering
Summary
Show up at the preserve on Livingston and compete against other orienteering fans to be the fastest to complete the course. Lessons on how to do orienteering will be available as well as how to read the maps. Great sport for people who love to run or just someone who wants a treasure hunt in the woods!!

Tentative meeting place is at (or across from) Parking Lot 101 on Livinston campus, follow arrows (signs) to the registration. (Look fo r a red DVOA banner)
Students that bring ID will be charged the $5 DVOA Map Hike fee (vs a $7 typical fee for public adults going orienteering) - this is a per map fee (group of 3 pays $5 as would a solo hiker)
There will be 5 courses, from Easy on trail beginners course, to a bit longer beginner course, to Intermediate to Experts/advanced/Long with finding very hidden control markers.
Details of orienteering courses to be posted about a week before the event (On DVOA web site).
Outdoors club participation can be solo or in teams (a Group). FYI, I recommend that the RU Club teams be 1 (solo), 2, 3, no more than 4 adults/students per team.
