About Battles & Paddles

Battles & Paddles is a weekend full of adventure, fun, excitement and exploration. An action packed weekend is virtually guaranteed. This trip includes a full day of white water rafting, a full day of paintball, two nights of camping by a lake, and a guaranteed bonding experience over our campfire, best of all no experience necessary. In white water rafting we will raft down the amazing class III Lehigh River, located in the scenic eastern Pennsylvania in teams of 5 or 6. On day two we will spend the entire day playing paintball against each other at the world’s largest paintball venue, with over 50 fields, there is something for everyone. Of course, in between all of our daily activities we will be camping, building a campfire and sharing our outdoor adventures in an unforgettable setting of Mauch Chunk Lake Park.

Logistics

We will leave on Friday by 6 pm, and drive to our campsite, where we will set up camp, build our campfire and enjoy a late night snack. The next morning, after breakfast and lunch preparations, we will head for white water rafting, where we will receive our wetsuits, instructions and will head down to the river for many hours of rafting fun. After rafting we will return to our campsite, build another fire and prepare a dinner for all. On Sunday, after a breakfast and lunch preparations we will, pack up our entire camp, and will set off to the paintball venue. As the sun will begin to set, we will return to our cars, while proudly brandishing our battle wounds, pack up and drive back to RU. With my best estimate we should be back by 9:00 pm or earlier on Sunday.

Costs

At the moment the cost of the trip is at $85.
The cost includes the following things: transportation, camp site, sleeping bag, tent, food, rafting admission with wetsuit, paintball admission, which includes private fields with judges, gun, mask, air, camouflage overalls, and 500 paintballs. The only thing you will need to bring is yourself, appropriate clothing and toiletries, also a pack or bag for your things is recommended.

At the moment there are 22 open spots, so don’t wait and sign up as soon as you can (while you can sign up now spots will only be held with a $40 down payment, full payment is preferred).
