Hey guys! My name is Arthur but you can call me Arby. I am a Mechanical Engineering student at Rutgers and this is my third year with the club. I am now the President of RUOC and am looking to keep up the hardcore adventures we've built this club around. I'm no stranger to danger or being hardcore as I have recently become big into rock climbing and ride a motorcycle as my main method of transportation. I have always enjoyed being active outside and love to get lost in all aspects of nature. So let me know if you want to pick up the pack and hit the trail, grab your skis and hit the slopes, get a paddle and float down the river, or tie some knots and climb with ropes. Whatever it is that you enjoy, go out and do it. Do what makes you who you are and love it with a passion. So come on out, let your spirits soar, and become more hardcore.
This page is in transition.
Congratulations to the new e-board.
I am currently one of the quartermasters of this great club. I'm also a graduate student majoring in structural engineering and construction management . I have been in RUOC since I was a freshman and I just love this club!! I have been a girl scout for over 15 years and love everything about the outdoors (hence why I am here!) My favorite activities are geocaching, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, orienteering, and just being outside. I think I could fish before I could walk, and probably knew how to start a campfire before elementary school. I encourage everyone to just get out there, try everything, and most importantly have fun, because that's what it is all about!
Hello all! I'm a senior in the Mechanical Engineering program and this is my second year in the club. Come to me if you need to rent out any gear or if you want some advice or even just a hiking buddy. Stop by the Shed for our weekly meetings for some hardcore adventures.
Kia ora! My name's Paul and I'm proud to be your treasurer for the 2012-2013 school year. I'm a senior this year and I've been with RUOC since my freshman year. My love for the outdoors started when I was a sea scout growing up in Auckland, New Zealand. In case you're wondering: Yes, I have been to Rotorua, Rangitoto, Lake Taupo, Milford Sound and Queenstown. No, I was not involved in the making of Lord of the Rings, King Kong, Flight of the Concords or Xena. I love hiking, fishing, camping, sailing, biking and rock climbing. The jury's still out on extreme urban kayaking and liquid mountaineering. See you at the shed!
Hi everyone! My name is Caitie and I am the Corresponding Secretary for the 2012-2013 year! I am a sophomore majoring in Microbial Biotechnology and this is my second year in RUOC. Some of my favorite things do do are backpacking, hiking, kayaking, swimming, and I've been camping and fishing since before I can remember. I started off as a Girl Scout in my younger years and I have been a registered Boy Scout in Venturing for going on 6 years now. I'm looking forward to a great year outdoors with all of you!
Hello! I'm Asjia, the Membership Secretary for the club this year. I'm a junior studying Women and Gender Studies and Africana Studies. I've been a Girl Scout for about 8 years. I've spent every summer on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire which is where I really got into swimming, hiking, canoeing, camping and all that good stuff. I also learned how to sail during the many summers I spent at Girl Scout camp. I love trying new things but I'm always up for a good ol' hike anywhere. I'm excited to have a great year outdoors with all of you! :)
Well hello There! My name is Paul Levitsky or Pasha, whichever is easier. I am the webmaster. I am a senior and this is my second year with RUOC. I have an immense love for the outdoors. As a Russian Scout I go every summer and live in the woods (in the Adirondacks) for a month. I look forward to seeing you at our meetings! If you have any questions feel free to shoot me an email.
